Library offers extra space, hours and support during exam period
02 May 2019
Exam Extra, the Library’s support package for students during the exam and final assignment submissions period, has returned
Running from now until Wednesday, 5 June, all site libraries have extended their hours during this period to ensure maximum access for students at any time of day or night. Additional desks have been set up throughout Main Library, which now also has an extra 168 power sockets and 104 USB ports on Blue 2 and Purple 4 – a key improvement for students which acts on feedback for increased power supplies.
The Stephen Joseph Studio - the old church building, one minute’s walk to the left of the Main Library entrance, will also be open from Saturday, 11 May along with a range of other extra spaces.
The extra support on offer sees drop-ins and workshops take place from 30 April until 31 May thanks to My Learning Essentials (MLE) and DigiLab with partnership support from the University’s Counselling Service. These take place at the AGLC training room and Main Library Ground Floor Seminar Room.
The popular #ExamExtra goody bags are also back with 250 brown paper bags located around site libraries containing stationery, good luck messages, coffee vouchers and a snack.
