IT network maintenance during April

Improvements to the University network may result in short periods of interruption

We’re making more improvements to the University network on Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 and Tuesday 30 April, which may result in short losses of connectivity for some people.

  • Wednesday 24 April: Approximately 15 minutes disruption to the GlobalProtect Virtual Private Network (VPN) between 8am and 8.30am, which will affect access to staff email and other services which require VPN access.
  • Thursday 25 April: Up to 10 minutes disruption to most University network services at some point between 7.30am and 8.30am.
  • Tuesday 30 April: 20 minutes disruption to Wi-Fi across campus and in halls at some point between 6am and 7am. This will affect approximately half the wireless access points across the University.
