Lane closure on Dover Street for crane lifts for Chemistry Building works

As part of the ongoing construction works to the Chemistry Building, on Tuesday, 16 April a lane closure has been arranged with Manchester City Council on Dover Street

The crane lift will commence at 6am to remove the old transformers from the building.  The connection of the new transformers will be undertaken in two stages during two controlled building shutdowns on the 12 and 26 April. 

No access will be permitted to the Chemistry Building on these days.

The new electrical transformer room is housed in the old oil tanks rooms located next to Dover Street. 

The crane will be situated on Dover Street all day and we apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.
