The University of Manchester

Each year, thousands of alumni and supporters generously donate to the University. Their donations have a huge impact all over campus: from countless research projects, to the over 800 students who are supported by donor-funded scholarships, to the buildings they study and learn in.

On Wednesday, 10 April, the University will welcome our generous donors to campus. As part of the day, we will be running a showcase event where people can learn about the wide-ranging impact that donations have at the University, and meet those students, staff and researchers who benefit from this generosity.

Among those presenting will be some current recipients of the Equity and Merit scholarship. These scholarships allow exceptional students from some of the world’s least developed countries to tackle challenges in their society. Come along and hear from our Equity and Merit students about how their donor-funded master’s degrees at the University will allow both them and their communities to flourish.

The showcase will be open between 1pm and 2pm at the Martin Harris Centre.

Staff are welcome to come anytime during that hour to get involved and learn about the impact of giving at the University.
