Students to use their business know-how for charity clothes sale

08 Mar 2019

Alliance MBS has been working with the University Volunteering Team and the British Heart Foundation to bring our students an exciting business retail opportunity which aims to develop business skills, make a positive impact and have fun

Pop-up shop

Two groups of undergraduate students will compete against each other by holding pop-up market stalls in March to raise funds for the charity. In the lead up to the pop-up shops opening, the groups will volunteer in one of three British Heart Foundation shops in Manchester to gain key skills such as:

  • Choosing the best stock for their market
  • Valuing and pricing the stock to generate the most money
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Selling

The pop-up shops will be pitched at the following times and locations:

  • Tuesday, 12 March inside the Students' Union (on the astroturf area near the hairdressers), 10:30am-4pm
  • Wednesday, 13 March in Owens Park accommodation, 10am-5pm

Please visit the shops to support this worthy cause.
