MACE hosts coffee breaks this March
22 Feb 2019
Attend a short talk followed by coffee and conversation, dedicated to female staff
Inspired by International Women’s Day #BalanceforBetter on Friday, 8 March, MACE will be hosting coffee breaks dedicated to female researchers throughout the month of March.
These informal meetings are intended to encourage wellbeing, and are the chance for MACE staff to get together for an hour over hot drinks. There’s also the opportunity for staff across research groups to deliver a ‘lightning talk'. These short talks of around 5 - 10 minutes are intended to stimulate further conversation. Researchers may talk about something of interest, whether that’s exciting updates from their own research, an extra-curricular interest or what they are doing to tackle gender imbalance.
March’s topics include a talk from a PhD student on her research and work as a Social Responsibility Fellow, as well as a talk on the newly formed Parent Group – more information on this to follow shortly.
