Dr Jess Wade, a scientist on a mission to change perceptions of women in science, will speak on gender balance, as we mark International Women’s Day 2019
Featured as one of Nature’s 10 people who mattered this year, Jess tirelessly campaigns for gender equality, whether through redressing Wikipedia’s under-representation of women in STEM subjects or using social media (@jesswade) to challenge the science gender gap, whilst working as a Research Associate at Imperial College London.
Jess will be discussing gender balance, why it is important and why we need to keep talking about equality.
The talk will take place on Wednesday, 6 March in Lecture Theatre B, University Place, followed by networking over coffee and cake in University Place foyer.
