Staff urged to keep conference and hotel bookings on campus

Staff are being reminded to ‘keep it on campus’ by making full use of the University’s conference and hotel facilities whenever possible
Please note that this does not include the meeting rooms at the Crowne Plaza which is a separate entity and should not be booked unless on campus facilities are unavailable.
There are a plethora of spaces available for a variety of events from small meetings to large conferences or dinners on campus bookable through the University Conferences and Venues team, who are on hand to support with the organisation of events in University buildings, and who can advise on how each of the spaces or rooms can be used.
Dedicated meeting and event space is available year round at Manchester Meeting Place, Chancellors Hotel, Barnes Wallis Building, Whitworth Building and Christie’s Bistro. A number of other University buildings are available for use during evenings, weekends and vacations.

Accommodation options
There are a range of hotel accommodation options available for staff and visitors, including the recently refurbished Chancellors Hotel in Fallowfield, a Grade II listed manor house and the University’s wholly owned hotel. The University also has a commitment to hotel bedrooms at the new 4* Crowne Plaza Hotel and Staybridge Suites. However, the University has no commitment to conference and meeting space at the Crowne Plaza.
