On average, full time workers will each spend over 3,500 days in work over a lifetime.
Therefore it’s important to make sure your chosen career is a fulfilling one. Continuously learning something new in your role, as well as getting the support you require are key factors in helping you feel fulfilled at work, and Staff Learning and Development can support you in both.
Options for staff learning at the University
Learning for all (found by clicking the lightbulb in Quick Links on StaffNet) is an online hub which houses all our learning content and can be accessed at any time.
- Visit Lynda, an online learning resource from LinkedIn, for guidance on improving your CV, developing your role or learning new skills. If you do not have access to Lynda, email StaffLD@manchester.ac.uk.
- The Learning and Development Toolkit (found by clicking the lightbulb in Quick Links on StaffNet) has a range of easily accessible content to help you develop your personal skills, this includes infographics, videos, podcasts and short tutorials.
