A message from Wood Street Mission, thanking you for Christmas Project donations

We are writing to thank you for your generous donations of toys and other donations towards the 2018 Christmas Project.  This really was a fantastic collection from the University and the amount of work involved by those organising the donations and collections is greatly appreciated.  Thanks to everyone who was involved and who made donations to the 2018 appeal.  

In particular we would like to thank the post room staff based in the John Owens Building for their help in ensuring that the donations were delivered to goods receiving Sackville Street on time.  A big thank you goes to Mark Watkins for picking up the donations from the various Schools and Departments.  Last but not least a big thank you to the goods receiving staff for their help and support in storing the donations until they were collected by the Wood Street Mission van.

Wood Street Mission continue to support families throughout the year with clothing parcels, baby equipment, bedding and Easter eggs.  In these difficult economic times more and more families are struggling to provide basic items for their children and we are faced with increasing demands on our services with diminishing levels of donations.  This is why they are grateful for the support they receive all year from University staff members.

The families really do appreciate the support they receive.  It is on their behalf that we thank you for your generosity and continued support.
