Faculty ‘champions’ work to engage colleagues - action from Staff Survey 2017
Staff in the Humanities Faculty Office have volunteered to create a group dedicated to providing a range of social and wellbeing activities for their fellow colleagues.
The aim of the group is to encourage staff to think about their own wellbeing, and to provide relevant and fun activities to support their needs.
The group has received training from the Staff Training and Development team, to better equip them for their role. They have also developed and delivered a ten-week bake off challenge which saw over 50 colleagues either bake for or attend weekly lunchtime get togethers, and they are currently planning the Faculty Office Christmas party and activities.
The group, which meets monthly, is working with staff to develop further activities to meet their needs.
