Make a child’s Christmas wonderful this year and give generously to Wood Street Mission’s Christmas Appeal 2018.
Wood Street Mission – a registered children’s charity working to alleviate the effects of poverty on local children and their families – wants to ensure that no child goes without a new toy on Christmas Day and there’s a food hamper for every family. It will not be able to achieve this without your support.
This year, University staff are asked not to donate food but continue to give gifts for the children aged up to the age of 14.
The van will collect donations from Goods Receiving Stores, Sackville Street Building, on Friday, 7 December 2018 so make any donations no later than:
- Wednesday, 5 December 2018
NOTE: Please do not wrap any presents. You can, if you wish, donate sheets or rolls of wrapping paper for them to give to the families to wrap the gifts themselves.
You can drop off donations at:
- Central Post Room, John Owens Building (south campus)
- Goods Receiving Stores, Sackville Street Building (north campus)
If would like further information about what to donate, contact:
- Muriel Shingler on 0161 306 2523 or Muriel.Shingler@manchester.ac.uk
