Staff take part in University wide Our Future Big Events

Staff at Big Event

Staff from across the University have taken part in Our Future Big Events that have been held on Thursday, 18 and Tuesday, 23 October in both Sackville Street and Whitworth Hall.

The events included two desktop discussion sessions where staff were asked to think about what the University of the future should stop doing, and what it should focus on. Staff were then asked to discuss opportunities for the future; and finally, to present their one Big Idea for the future.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in events and submitted their Big Idea. There are still some local events planned over the next few weeks and you have until Friday, 16 November to submit your Big Idea.

Ideas will be collected, analysed and reviewed by the Senior Leadership Team to create a number of themes which colleagues will have a further opportunity to explore and discuss early next year. These will become the basis of the University’s new vision and strategic plan which the Board of Governors will sign off in 2019.
