Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal launches
23 Oct 2018
Wood Street Mission’s Christmas Appeal 2018 has launched and the focus of the appeal is new toys for the age group 0-14 years
Wood Street Mission will be bringing a team to the University’s Staff Wellbeing Fair on 30 October, Whitworth Hall, from 12-2pm. They will be based in Committee Room D where they will be accepting donations and explaining the work they do in the community.
To help their appeal Wood Street Mission are asking you to donate new unwrapped toys on this day for 0-14 year olds if you are able to. The earlier Wood Street Mission receive donations the more time they have to plan what is needed via charity funds, to ensure none of the families they support go without. Wood Street will be bringing a large van with them on the Staff Fair – so let’s see if we can help fill this with staff donations.
Last year Wood Street Mission were able to help thousands of children and families and distributed over 11,000 new toys and gifts to struggling families, living in Manchester and Salford. Your generosity in the past has helped this happen!
For those who can’t make the staff fair you can drop off donations by 30 November at:
- Central Post Room, John Owens Building (south campus)
- Goods Receiving Stores, Sackville Street Building (north campus)

As always Wood Street Mission is incredibly grateful for your support and would like to thank you in advance for your help.
