USS consultation continues

USS members and those eligible to join are being invited to take part in a consultation on USS contribution rates
In July we provided you with some information from the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) on the issue of cost sharing. This outlined what cost sharing is and what it could involve for you and the University.
This information highlighted that a consultation will take place on proposed changes to contribution rates and this opened on 3 September. This consultation will take place at the same time as the work being done by the Joint Expert Panel which is continuing to meet and aims to report its findings to stakeholders during September.
Consultation packs have been posted to all members of USS and to employees who are not currently members but are eligible to join. Packs are being sent to home addresses.
The pack outlines the proposals being put forward and gives you further information on how to submit your feedback. The consultation is open until Friday, 2 November 2018.
If you haven't received a pack, contact the University’s Pensions Office who will arrange for a replacement to be sent to you.
