University launches Fertility Treatment Policy

The University is delighted to launch its new Policy designed to support our staff who are undergoing fertility treatment

We recognise the significant impact of such treatment, and we wish to support any of our staff undertaking it.  We will now be providing eligible staff (and staff whose partner is undergoing fertility treatment) paid leave from work for the purpose of receiving and recovering from fertility treatment, as well as attending appointments associated with the process.  

Our new Policy sets out the relevant leave and pay entitlements. You can find the full Policy on StaffNet.    

Accompanying the new Policy is guidance for managers on providing support to staff undergoing fertility treatment.  

If you are a member of staff who is currently undergoing fertility treatment, this Policy now applies to you – you can discuss your need for time off in confidence with your manager or HR Partner.
