Emergency network maintenance - Wednesday 8 August

Related to recent connectivity issues, we need to perform more emergency network maintenance at 6pm today (Wednesday)

Update 3 (11:25am, Thursday 9 August)

The network maintenance completed successfully, so services are now fully restored. If you are experiencing any issues, please report them to the IT Support Centre by calling 0161 306 5544.

Update 2 (9:49am)

We need to perform more emergency network maintenance at 6pm today. While we're only expecting minor periods of instability while this work is carried out, we're allowing up to 10pm for this work to complete.

We expect to post another update at approximately 9am on Thursday 9 August.

While network performance is currently stable, we do need to perform additional maintenance on the network to work towards a fix. This is likely to take place around 6pm today but we'll update you when we have more information.

This may result in short intermittent periods of loss of access to external services and websites, and people outside of the University may experience the same sort of issues accessing University services.

We completely understand the impact this is having on your work and we're treating this as our highest priority to get you all back up and running on a stable network connection as soon as possible.
