A minute's silence will be observed nationally at midday today (Thursday, 14 June) to remember the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
The fire, in which 72 people died, was Britain’s worst domestic fire since World War II. The minute’s silence is part of a series of vigils and commemorations, including the illumination of Grenfell and other buildings in London just before 1am, the time that a fire was reported at the tower last June.
University staff may also wish to observe a minute's silence on campus at this time.
