Leaving campus at the end of term?

Make sure you are setup for 2-factor authentication, before you fly off for the summer
Staff and postgraduate research students preparing to leave campus at the end of term are being advised by IT Services to check that they are setup for 2-factor authentication, and have registered at least one device such as a mobile phone.
The University’s Cyber Security Programme is continuing to roll out 2-factor authentication to protect key systems and services, and it’s important that you are prepared.
The next stage of the roll out will protect emails accessed via the Outlook Web App (OWA) . In addition to entering your University username and password, you will need to verify your identity through something that you have with you – your 2-factor device.
The easiest way to authenticate is by using the Duo Mobile app on a smartphone. Guidance on this and other options available can be found on the IT Services website:
To get setup with Duo, our 2-factor authentication provider, or to manage your 2-factor devices, sign in to IT Account Manager then click on the tab titled ‘2-factor (Duo)’.
