Help Emmeline's Pantry support vulnerable women
24 May 2018
Donate items before Wednesday, 30th May
Emmeline’s Pantry is a Manchester based foodbank for women in need and their children. The charity supports the most vulnerable women in our community including victims of domestic abuse and trafficked women. Many of these women and their children have had to leave all their personal belongings to avoid domestic abuse, trafficked women have been shackled and babies have been wearing tea towels instead of nappies. 26 other organisations refer women to Emmeline’s Pantry to get much needed support, so they are desperate for donations.
A number of amazing volunteers across the University have created a network of 25 drop off locations across campus to take in donations until the Wednesday, 30th May.
If you are able to donate, the items that are desperately needed are:
- Ladies toiletries
- Baby products
- Tea
- Coffee
- Biscuits (and nice treats for mums and their children)
- Washing up liquids
- Clothes detergent tablets/pods
Other items that would be massively appreciated
- Sanitary products
- Nappies (especially bigger sizes)
- Clean and laundered clothes for ladies and babies/young children
- New toys for all age groups
