Celebrating our payroll giving scheme, childcare support benefits and the latest discounts you can access

Payroll Giving

University staff continue to be fantastic supporters of our Payroll Giving Scheme as a way to enhance their donations to their favourite causes. The Charities Aid Foundation has updated our sign up link which also has an infographic on all your giving.  In the past 12 months our staffing community has donated over £135,000 to charities and since 2005 has donated over £800,000 to good causes, which is phenomenal.

Childcare support

Many of our staff with families are helped by our childcare support benefits. These include our childcare voucher scheme, our workplace nursery scheme and our campus nurseries. Echoes Nursery, one of our workplace nurseries, recently had an OFSTED inspection and was good in all areas and outstanding for Personal development, behaviour and welfare. 

Staff discounts

We have a number of family-friendly discounts that also include the Gro Company, ante-natal classes and activity breaks for children.

Travel

Super Break has Yorkshire as their Destination of the Month. Beauty

City Scene, a regular discount provider, is sharing an offer for 50% off at Malmaison Spa. Beauty Bee is based in our University Wellbeing Rooms in the Simon Building. Abby will be offering all beauty treatments for staff at student prices throughout May only. Visit our secure page for the price list and how to book. 

Bluedot

We now have an updated offer for university staff from our friends at Jodrell Bank. You can still access 20% off adult weekend tickets with a new voucher code and can now also get a 10% discount on adult, teen and child day tickets. Visit the BlueDot page to access the secure codes!

On campus

With on-campus discounts you can save at Chancellors Hotel, Manchester Museum, Whitworth Art Gallery, Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, Food on Campus outlets. You can also save at Blackwell’s bookshop and are able to purchase an NUS Extra Card.
