Encourage postgraduate taught students to have their say!

28 Feb 2018

Postgraduate Taught Survey launches on Monday 5 March

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) launches on Monday 5 March.

As well as asking about overall satisfaction, the survey asks students about aspects of their course including teaching and learning, resources and skills development. Students are also given the opportunity to comment on their student experience as a whole, which is extremely valuable.

The University is committed to understanding and improving the experience of all students. However, the shorter duration of courses and the fact that we have more distance and part-time students taking Master’s level courses means that it is even more important that we encourage them to engage in the survey.

Listening to, and acting on feedback from students is still one of the best ways to make sure that our efforts to improve the student experience are focused in the right way – and  the PTES results give a unique and holistic view of this diverse group and their experiences.

Students will receive a link to their survey via email and will also find it in My Manchester. Please encourage eligible students to complete the survey before 13th May. Students often respond better to messages from people they know - so if you tutor, lecture or support students then your help really is important to increase response rates.

Information, advice and promotional materials for School use can be found on the PTES Toolkit pages of StaffNet.

Don’t forget that NSS is also still open for final year undergraduate students and information about this and how you can help encourage students to complete it can be found on the NSS toolkit
