Alliance Manchester Business School has cemented its position as an elite provider of global business education in this year's Financial Times (FT) Global MBA rankings and is positioned 36th in the world.
This means Alliance Manchester Business School remains one of Europe’s top 10 business schools, and is ranked as the UK’s leading business school, outside of the London, Oxbridge triangle.
The FT found that Class of 2014 MBA alumni, enjoy a 98% salary increase three years after graduating and the ratio of female to male students on the programme is increasing steadily to 40%.
Professor Fiona Devine, OBE, Head of Alliance Manchester Business School, said: “As a research-led business school our MBAs benefit directly from the application of original thinking, alongside six months of live client projects. This combination gives our alumni the resilience and skills to take advantage of the opportunities presented by today’s ever-changing business landscape.
“You may have seen that Vincent Kompany, Captain of Manchester City, has recently graduated from our Global MBA and features in today’s FT rankings supplement. The tenacity and pioneering spirit he showed in completing his studies reflects our ethos here at Manchester.
“We are extremely proud of our MBAs and all they go on to achieve in careers across the globe. Our position in today's ranking is testament to their hard work and the commitment of our teaching, careers and support teams who ensure Manchester MBA students and alumni are amongst the best in the world. “
Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2015, the Business School was the beneficiary of a landmark donation from Lord Alliance of Manchester and Trustees of the Alliance Family Foundation.
Professor Devine continued: “Lord Alliance continues to support our MBAs, through case competitions where MBAs test their business acumen with one of the world’s leading entrepreneurs. This year we will see completion of our ambitious new campus, which will include the new Alliance Manchester Business School, a dedicated Executive Education Centre, hotel and retail space.”
