Alterations to Brunswick Park layout
11 Jan 2018
Following the Christmas break a number of changes have been made to pedestrian access routes across and around Brunswick Park as the new development takes shape
The new pedestrian and cycle friendly park is set to be completed by May 2018.
The main changes are:
- New footpaths across the park between Simon and Roscoe Buildings;
- The Williamson Building entrance (turnstile) facing the Park will be brought back in to use;
- The temporary main entrance in to Zochonis Building will be from Dover Street.
With examinations beginning next week, students are requested to allow a few extra minutes to familiarise themselves with the route to their examination location. The new temporary layout of the park will remain in place until the end of March 2018, when further temporary alterations will be made for the final stage of construction work.
The University continues to seek the co-operation of their cycling fraternity who are being asked to avoid cycling through and around the periphery of the park in order to keep the area safe for both cyclists and pedestrians. “Cyclist dismount” signs will again be placed at access points to the Park area. The University is appreciative of all staff and student pedestrians and cyclists for their patience and cooperation during the ongoing Brunswick Park construction work.
