School of Social Sciences professor joins the National Centre for Social Research as a Trustee
Sue, who was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2016, said: “NatCen is an organisation whose work I have admired throughout my career. I am looking forward to being able to use the experience I have gained from academia in a rather different research context, and to learning a great deal in the process.”
Chair of the Board of Trustees, Professor Sir Robert Burgess, said: "I wish to welcome Sue to the NatCen Board of Trustees. Her considerable experience in research methodology and ethics will enable us to continue to deliver independent, high quality research that makes society better.”
The National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) is an independent, not for profit organisation. It believes that social research has the power to make life better. By really understanding the complexity of people’s lives and what they think about the issues that affect them, it gives the public a powerful and influential role in shaping decisions and services that can make a difference to everyone.
