The University has a range of schemes which recognise the achievements of our staff and show our appreciation of their contributions.
Our Rewarding Exceptional Performance Scheme recognises outstanding achievement by individual staff members in Grades 1-8 by awarding successful nominees an additional payment for an exceptional one-off contribution, or advancement to the next point on the salary scale (or, for those at top of their scale, a contribution point) for a sustained exceptional contribution in their role. An appropriate payment may also be split between a team where it has been a combined effort.
The processes for academic and research staff are conducted by the School and Faculty Promotions Committees. All nominations for PSS staff within the Faculties, central Professional Support Services, the Library and Cultural Institutions are determined by local management panels.
The scheme for 2017-18 is now open.
Nominations in respect of PSS staff within Faculties, central Professional Support Services, the Library and Cultural Institutions must be received by Wednesday, 31 January 2018; for academic staff the timetable is set locally.
