Launch of new widening participation website for post-16 learners
21 Sep 2017
All our widening participation schemes are now grouped together under Access Manchester
The University is committed to identifying and attracting the most talented students to The University regardless of their educational background.
To help up us with this aim, the University offers several access schemes (such as the Manchester Access Programme) for post-16 students who are from under-represented backgrounds in higher education.
We've now grouped all of these schemes together into ‘Access Manchester’, which is a website that acts as the single point of reference for any potential student, teacher and supporter to find out information on what schemes might be relevant to them. They can find an overview of each scheme, eligibility criteria and links to further information. They can also take an eligibility survey to see which schemes they might be able to participate in.
The Access Manchester website is an excellent resource for University staff who work in admissions, widening participation, social responsibility and outreach. Anyone receiving enquiries about what help we might be able to offer potential students can find lots of useful information on the website.
