Walking for Maggie's Cancer Centre

On Friday, 27 September a number of the MCR Strollers will be walking across Manchester on a “Culture Crawl” to help raise funds

The University’s healthy walks group, MCR Strollers, has been going for nearly ten years and has been involved in numerous events over the years.

This month they are busy raising awareness and funds for Maggie’s Cancer Centre in Manchester, near The Christie hospital by taking part in the ANNUAL Culture Crawl.

It costs £590,000 a year to keep a Maggie's Centre open, and any monies donated will help Maggie's continue to provide emotional, practical and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.

In the previous three years the Strollers have raised over £2,000 are hoping to raise over £600 this year. If you are able to sponsor the Strollers you can donate via their JustGiving account.
