University ranked in THE's global top 50 for Arts and Humanities

The University has increased its ranking by two places in the 2018 Times Higher Education World University Ranking for Arts and Humanities

We are now ranked 50th out of the 400 institutions on the list, which includes 56 institutions from the UK.

The ranking means that the University is placed tenth in the UK, with the Universities of Oxford (4th) Cambridge (=5th) and University College London (=5th) taking the top UK spots.

The ranking is based on the same range of 13 performance indicators used in the overall THE World University Rankings 2018, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.
