AskMe campaign is back – and we need you!

With less than a month to go until thousands of new students arrive on campus, we can all play a part in the warm welcome they receive

Whether you are directly involved in supporting students or not, you will have a wealth of knowledge that will help our new students navigate through their first few weeks of university. 

Each year, staff from across the University sign up to be AskMe ambassadors and don their purple AskMe badges.

As an AskMe ambassador, students can easily identify you as someone who can help with their questions – be it directing them to a building, the nearest cash machine, or even pointing them in the direction of somewhere to get a drink. 

After great feedback from students last year, we want as many people this year to get involved!

Don’t worry if you don’t know all of the answers. Sign up for updates on being an AskMe ambassador and we’ll send you useful information each day throughout Welcome to help you answer frequently asked questions, and where to direct students to if you’re unsure of the answer. 

Need a badge?

If you don’t already have a badge, there may be some available in your department so please ask around. 

If you can’t get hold of one, just get in touch and we’ll get one out to you.
