FSE Faculty Review
22 Jun 2017
In December 2016 Professor Martin Schröder initiated a review of current structures within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
The Review Group was tasked with determining the effectiveness of current Faculty and School structures, in relation to the delivery of world-class research, outstanding learning and student experience and social responsibility. It is therefore a review of Faculty leadership and management structures, rather than a comprehensive review of the activity we deliver across our three core goals.
The Review Group’s report has been provided to Senate for information ahead of their meeting on 28 June 2017, after which it will be published here.
From 3 July Martin Schröder will host a series of open meetings to present to staff and students the options which are included in the report.
Initial open meetings have been scheduled for:
- Monday 3rd July, 10.15 – 11.15, Theatre 1.1 Kilburn Building
- Wednesday 5th July, 9.30 – 10.30, C53 Sackville Street Building
- Monday 10th July, 13.30 – 14.30, C53 Sackville Street Building
These meetings mark the start of a broad process where feedback and comment on the options will be welcomed from across the Faculty and wider University community.
