Our popular Smarter Driver Training programme is set to return at the start of May. The 50 minute sessions (car provided) are run by expert driving instructors from Drive Sense, who give drivers realistic hints and tips to reduce fuel usage. Using less fuel when driving also means that carbon emissions and air pollutants are reduced. Over 300 staff at the University have already taken part making fuel savings of up to 15%.
The ecodriving training has been developed by the Energy Saving Trust based on extensive research into the technical and behavioural issues associated with reducing fuel consumption.
Benefits include:
- Increased MPG by up to 15%.
- Reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Lower risk of vehicle wear and tear.
- Reduced risk of vehicle accidents.
Training will take place between Monday 8 May and Friday 12 May, with 8 sessions available to choose from each day.
Book your free place now using the access code 38P8Z2ZE0J.
On the day you will meet the instructor outside the AQA building and will need to bring your driving licence with you.
The training is aimed at those that drive University vehicles, commute to work by car and/or make business trips in their own vehicle.
