Oxford Road closure for resurfacing

From 10 April through to 23 April (inclusive) Oxford Road will close in both directions between Grosvenor Street and Charles Street

The signed diversion route for all traffic heading in to and out of the city centre during this time will be Upper Brook Street and Princess Street.

Bus services will operate on diverted routes and some stops will be closed.  

When the road reopens on Monday 24 April, off-carriageway work will continue that includes footway resurfacing as well as the installation of street lighting and furniture. 

In addition, further work to the bus stop next to the Circle-Square redevelopment will require it to remain closed for a couple more weeks, however, all other stops will be open from the 24 April.

The transformation of Oxford Road is nearing completion and the work is scheduled to finish by mid-May.
