Terry Hudghton to lead mission to strengthen the power of our University’s brand
Terry Hudghton has been appointed as the University’s Director of Communications and Marketing with immediate effect.
Terry joined the University in May 2014 as Head of University Marketing and has held the position of interim Director of Communications and Marketing since January 2017. Over the past three years he has played a lead role in the development and implementation of the University’s first Communications and Marketing Plan, which is enhancing our reputation by developing a distinctive and focused approach to communications and marketing activity, most notably through our research beacons and Stellify campaigns.
Terry has held a number of senior marketing positions both with the Science Museum Group and The Co-operative Group, where he led on the successful development and promotion of Fairtrade.
He said: “I am delighted to have been given the chance to lead the work to strengthen our brand, both nationally and internationally. Working here I have been able to see what our University has achieved, and believe it will continue to achieve, giving us ample opportunity to celebrate our power and distinctiveness and take us from good to great.”
