Appointment of new Director of University College for Interdisciplinary Learning

Professor Cathy McCrohan of the School of Biological Sciences will take up the position from August 2017
Professor Cathy McCrohan will replace Professor Peter Lawler who has been instrumental in the success of University College for Interdisciplinary Learning (UCIL) since its inception.
The University College runs flexible, multidisciplinary courses that are available to all our undergraduates that can be tailored to their interests and career ambitions, no matter what the subject of their degree.
Professor McCrohan will now work with colleagues from across the University to lead our ambitious plans for phase 2 of UCIL, which will also feature key contributions to Stellify.
Cathy said: "“I am delighted to take up this role. I am a strong supporter of interdisciplinary learning and scholarship, both for the intrinsic benefits to all of us, and to prepare our graduates better for the world beyond university.
