Postgraduate Research Experience Survey launches next week
29 Mar 2017
Encourage your research students to have their say from Monday, 3 April
The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) launches next week (Monday, 3 April).
As the only national survey of its kind, PRES allows us to gain insight into students’ experience of being a research student here and also compare that with the national picture. Perhaps more importantly, the survey is an opportunity for students to voice their opinion and help further develop and improve the experience of being a postgraduate researcher.
If you work directly with postgraduate research students please encourage them to complete the survey.
A great way to do this is talking to students about how the results are used and changes that have been implemented as a result of previous feedback. This clearly demonstrates how important their feedback is. There will be central communications to remind students to complete the survey, but personal messages from staff students know with local messages really do improve response rates.
Please reiterate that the survey is anonymous and cannot be traced back to individual students. This will not only encourage students to complete the surveys, but also to give their honest feedback.
The students eligible to take the survey will be contacted via email and can also access the survey via My Manchester and E Prog.
The survey remains open until Friday, 12 May.
