The Witchfinder’s Sister – a new book by Beth Underdown, lecturer at the Centre for New Writing – tells the story of a witch hunt in Essex in 1645.

It has been described as “a tense, surprising and elegantly-crafted novel” and “vivid and terrifying”.

But as Beth says, “nobody does this by themselves”. Here she thanks colleagues and students for their support and enthusiasm, citing our campus as a great place to create amazing work:
