Pick up a piggy bank and take part in the RAG Week staff challenge
The Purple Pig Challenge is back for RAG Week 2017, raising money through collecting spare change for Equity and Merit Scholarships at The University of Manchester. These scholarships allow outstanding students from Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania to study a Master’s at Manchester which will gives them the skills to make a difference back in their home countries.
Staff are invited to pick up a piggy bank on Monday, 27 or Tuesday, 28 March, fill it with spare change during the week (asking your colleagues to help), and drop it back on Friday, 3 March.
The team which collects the most money will win a behind-the-scenes tour of Manchester Museum with Dr Rachel Webster, Curator of Botany, while the best pig-picture posted to Twitter with #IloveUoM will win a voucher for lunch for two at Christie’s Bistro.
