Volunteers needed for undergraduate open days

We're looking for staff to help people visiting the parents stand
The Undergraduate Student Recruitment Team is looking for staff to support an enhanced engagement with parents as part of the University’s Open Days on Friday, 23 and Saturday, 24 June.
Staff with recent experience of a child leaving home to go to university would be very welcome to offer their time as they would have a useful insight into the experience.
The stand will be in the Whitworth Hall and volunteers will speak informally with parents as part of the Student Experience Exhibition, offering practical advice to parents as they prepare to send their child to university and addressing any concerns that they may have.
There are many other exhibition stands in the Whitworth Hall, including accommodation, finance, IT services, Study Abroad and the Library.
More information
Full briefing and support will be offered. We have a specific guide for parents that will be used on the day and you can read the types of issues we know they are most interested in from this link. Staff who volunteered on previous occasions found the experience very enjoyable.
Volunteers would look after the stand 9am–12.30pm, 12.30pm–4pm or all day. Staff may wish to discuss this with their line managers where appropriate.
