Student leadership in widening participation
Since 2012, The University of Manchester and the Students' Union have championed student leadership in access and widening participation through Access All Areas.
Access All Areas are a student-led group supported by the Students' Union who run projects and events aimed at tackling inequalities in access to education.
On Thursday, 16 March, Access All Areas will be holding a national conference to celebrate successful access and widening participation projects, paying particular attention to the roles of current students as ambassadors, role models and leaders.
The conference is ideal for practitioners from students' unions, universities and widening participation organisations, as well as current university students. It will be of particular interest to those who hope to develop student leadership within access and widening participation initiatives.
