This Valentine’s day you can take the opportunity to love our local farmers by buying a box of fresh, organic veg right here on campus.
While Valentine’s might feel like an odd day to think about food and farming, for the Slovenians Saint Valentine, or Zdravko, was in fact the saint of spring, good health and beekeepers – so that makes it a perfect day to celebrate all things veg!
Signing up for a weekly veg box, you can both offer local growers some security at spring planting time and give your own health a bit of a loving boost too.
The Veg Box People stall will be outside the University Greenhouse restaurant this Valentine’s Day and every Tuesday from noon to 5.30pm.
