Closures and restrictions between Booth Street and Whitworth Street from Monday, 13 February
There will be closures and restrictions on Oxford Road between Booth Street and Whitworth Street from Monday, 13 February until Friday, 17 March.
Journey times for drivers and bus passengers are therefore likely to be adversely affected, particularly at the peak travelling times and especially in the evening.
The closures and restrictions are to allow new layouts and resurfacing by TfGM to be carried out, along with development activity for Manchester Metropolitan University and work at the former BBC site.
The road will be one-way between Charles Street and Whitworth Street for inbound traffic only until Saturday, 25 February.
There will be full road closure from Booth Street to Whitworth Street from Sunday, 26 February to Monday, 6 March.
The junction of Charles Street will remain open throughout (allowing east-west movements), except on Sunday 26 February and the weekend of 4/5 March.
