On campus
Did you know FoodonCampus has 27 outlets including the Greenhouse Café that serves freshly made vegetarian and vegan food with great coffee from Ancoats Coffee. It’s ideal if you are already a vegan or are taking part in Veganuary. The café is located in the George Kenyon Building. Blackwell’s (and Starbucks) have relocated to a purpose built space between Arthur Lewis and the Bridgford building. There is a long list of fitness and wellbeing courses available for you and the University’s Lunchtime Strollers group has a number of free weekly walks for you.

Leisure

Health and fitness
There are great offers for Nuffield Health’s Printworks gym and LivingWell health club at the Hilton. SwimNow UK provide adult swimming lessons from private swimming pools around Manchester city centre (including Hilton Deansgate). You can also access health cash plans and private health schemes in the health discounts.
Travel
You can save up to 10% and book now for as little as £35 low deposit with Cottages.com. There are a lot of bookings already going through for Valentines with some fantastic prices with SuperBreak. If you are planning a trip to Edinburgh you can save 15% at a number of leading hotels included the highly rated Inn on the Mile that also has bronze status on the TripAdvisor Green Leaders Programme. If you are Lake District bound there are discounted rates for you at the Tebay Hotel and Overwater Hall. If you are visiting other parts of the UK and want to avoid excessive car park fees, you can save at Q-Parks car parks. Great Manchester 10k
Last year over 1,100 University of Manchester staff and students entered the Great Manchester 10K Run. This year the University is looking to get over 3,000 students and staff running that will allow us to create history in having our very own University purple starting wave on Sunday 28th May 2017. If you are a University of Manchester staff or student you can purchase your ticket for a heavily reduced price of £20 for students and £25 for staff (down from £38). Sign up here.
