Unit Surveys to launch next week
29 Nov 2016
Your help in supporting students to complete their Unit Surveys is essential
Next week (Monday, 5 December) sees the launch of semester one Unit Surveys.
The surveys are sent to all undergraduate and postgraduate taught students as part of the University's commitment to listen to students, as outlined in our 2020 Vision.
The results are used to make annual improvements in students’ experience and satisfaction with the units they study.
Students are asked to say how far they agree or disagree with a number of general statements and then to give free text responses to questions about the unit and the lecturer for units they study. Schools have already been invited to add School-specific questions.
Surveys will be available to students through Blackboard and the EvaluationKIT app and instructions on how to complete them will be sent directly to students.
Your help in supporting students to complete their Unit Surveys is essential. As well as answering any queries about the process, you can help encourage completion by talking to students about how important their feedback is – a good way to do this is by giving examples of the positive impact previous surveys have made.
These surveys supply us with honest, anonymous feedback that helps to improve teaching standards throughout the Institution. Your help in delivering them is greatly appreciated.
