Meet the Manchester mo bros
15 Nov 2016
Facial hair is sprouting across campus this month as male colleagues grow a mo to support men's health charity Movember Foundation
Andrew Whatmore, Senior Experimental Officer, Division of Developmental Biology and Medicine, School of Medical Sciences (shown above)
"Once again I am sporting a Movember facial growth in support of Mens’ Health issues. I do this as there is insufficient awareness of mens’ health issues and this is a great way to promote these issues. Too many men suffer and die through lack of awareness.
"It looks again like a two-tone affair but is still itchy and irritating. How people grow these for fun is beyond me - but supporting the Movember Foundation is not beyond you."

Joe Paxton, Media Relations Officer, Division of Communications and Marketing
"I am taking part in Movember this year, which raises money to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health.
"You’ll get to see me looking like a clapped-out early 80s footballer, so surely that’s worth a couple of quid.
"Any donations would be really appreciated."
