New schedule for 2016-17 academic year
In response to feedback from staff and students about the scheduled downtime for Blackboard upgrades, the Online Learning Strategy Group (OLSG) has agreed to change the timing for this year and future years in order to maximise the availability of the system to students.
- The major scheduled Bb9 upgrade period with associated downtime will now take place at the end of July, instead of during the Easter vacation, and the period of downtime will be shorter than in previous years.
- Minor upgrades and maintenance, with little or no scheduled downtime, will take place during the Easter vacation, instead of July.
For 2016/17, Bb will be unavailable from 5pm on Thursday, 27 July until 9am on Sunday, 30 July 2017.
We hope that this early notification will enable you to factor in these dates when timetabling assignment submission dates and key course activities.
