Call for speakers at Students' Union Access All Areas Conference

The first Access All Areas Conference will focus on the role of current students in access and widening participation to higher education
On Thursday, 16 March 2017, the University of Manchester Students’ Union will be bringing together educators, students’ unions, experts and students for the first Access All Areas Conference.
Their aim is to provide space to discuss campaigns, ideas and projects for accessible education and understanding inequalities, particularly those that are led or delivered with current university students. The day will include talks from special guests, as well as a range of parallel workshops with something to interest everyone.
Lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be included, as will a drinks reception at the conference close.
You are warmly invited to present a talk or workshop in any of the key areas:
- Inequalities and under representation in education
- Student-led widening participation initiatives
- successful or new WP activities or campaigns planned and delivered by current students
- successful partnerships between student leaders/ambassadors and universities, student unions or charities
- supporting students in setting up projects - Special Educational Needs
- Education policy
- Education and teaching/learning best practice
The end of the day will also include guest panel discussions.
Workshops will be allotted approximately 45 minutes (to be confirmed closer to the event).
