Learn about fundraising through the University’s crowdfunding platform at an information session
Crowdfunding at Manchester is the University’s own crowdfunding platform. The site allows students and researchers to fundraise for projects which enrich the student experience or benefit communities around them. Already, students have successfully funded international volunteering and work experience during the summer break, and just last week, the Men’s Lacrosse Club reached their target of £600 to buy equipment for new players.
Both staff and students can use the Crowdfunding at Manchester platform, and will benefit from the advantages it has over other online platforms:
- University branding shows that projects are trustworthy.
- Support and guidance are available from the Development team.
- Some projects are eligible for match-funding.
- As the University is a charity, we can reclaim tax on eligible donations, and pass it on to the project, so you raise even more!
If staff members or students you’re working with are interested in learning more, please come to the Crowdfunding Information Session in University Place 3.209, at 5pm on Thursday, 29 September. You’ll hear from students have who successfully used the platform and have the chance to ask questions.
