In her weekly update last week, the President and Vice-Chancellor mentioned that plans were being developed for delivering a sustainable financial position which will allow the University to make the necessary investments to achieve our Manchester 2020 ambitions
The President went on to say that significant changes and some difficult choices will need to be made and, it is in this context that a new Programme Management Board is being set up to manage strategic projects and activities across the University. The Board will be led by Deputy President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Colin Bailey.
Russell Ashworth, Director of Faculty Operations within the Faculty of Humanities, has been appointed as Programme Director. This means that recruitment to the Humanities Director of Faculty Operations role will begin immediately. Russell will begin to take on some activities associated with his new role with immediate effect but will also continue in his current post, supporting the Faculty, until a replacement is appointed.
