10th UK Schools Computer Animation Competition launches
14 Sep 2016
The School of Computer Science has launched Animation17, its 10th annual UK Schools Computer Animation Competition, which aims to encourage kids all over the UK to use their computers creatively
Last year's competition received 1,000 entries from 1,400 students from 130 schools, and you can see all the amazing winners on the competition's YouTube channel:
Toby Howard, Director of Undergraduate Studies in the School of Computer Science, who leads the competition team, says "For our 10th anniversary we've completely re-booted the competition. School and college students from 7-19 can now use any software they like to make creative animations, including key-frame and stop-frame. We expect Animation17 to be bigger than ever!".
